Continuing the artistic exploration of 'The Canvas Series,' Ivana Wong presents her new interdisciplinary masterpiece, announcing the launch of a new tour chapter—the 'Words & Conversations' [Conversations We Almost Had] exhibition concert. This also marks the first live performance of Ivana’s long-awaited new self-titled concept album 'Words & Conversations,' merging art exhibition with musical creation, guiding audiences through text, imagery, music, and art installations to reevaluate the weight of language. The tour’s first stop will open in Hong Kong this December, followed by Shanghai. Hong Kong tickets will go on public sale via POPTICKET at 10:00 AM on September 23.

Amid this sense of helplessness from failed communication, Ivana hopes this exhibition concert will lead the public to reconsider: ‘Words carry weight. How should we speak?’ Using cross-media art, she constructs a three-dimensional, thought-provoking philosophical space, inviting audiences to imagine those ‘Conversations We Almost Had.’ During the promotional poster shoot, the designer created a wearable art piece combining the text ‘Words & Conversations’ with clothing; Ivana joked that the installation was quite heavy, weighing her down during the shoot—perfectly embodying the theme of ‘the weight of speech.’

Building on her journey from ‘The Canvas Series,’ accumulating more creative experience and life depth, ‘Words & Conversations’ now presents a more mature concept and execution. Ivana employs richer artistic languages and large-scale installations to guide audiences in exploring the philosophy of communication from multiple angles. Unlike previous formats where audiences were purely passive receivers, this exhibition concert treats ‘audience’ as part of the artwork, fully immersing them in the world of messages she constructs. This concept album, refined over many years, is entirely crafted by her—writing, composing, arranging, producing, and singing. Ivana notes that the album’s creation was synchronized from the outset with the exhibition’s visual imagery and installation concepts, making music and space ‘one and the same.’ The full scope of this creation can only be fully realized at the exhibition concert, offering attendees the most complete artistic experience. All songs revolve around the philosophical theme of ‘communication,’ including the lead single, as well as carefully arranged tracks and instrumental pieces, providing listeners with more space for reflection and imagination.

Theme single ‘YES BUT NO’ deconstructs opposition, prompting reverse thinking

The exhibition concert’s theme single ‘YES BUT NO’ will be released at the end of September. The song uses everyday choices as its starting point, exploring the ‘YES’ and ‘NO’ that permeate every relationship. When two people’s values clash, does the negation of each other’s positions ultimately dominate the relationship? Are we often trapped by our own habits, afraid to express ourselves honestly? Ivana hopes ‘YES BUT NO’ will explore daily choices, habitual responses, and communication dilemmas under conflicting values, inspiring audiences to think from others’ perspectives and opening the door to deeper dialogue for the entire concept album and exhibition concert.

Global debut of ‘Fat Bottle Café’ Pop-up surprises attendees

Beyond the exhibition and musical performances, the venue will also host the world’s first ‘Fat Bottle Café’ Pop-up! The café will feature the philosophy and childlike world of Fat Bottle, paired with Ivana’s exclusive Boffee premium coffee, and will sell limited-edition merchandise and physical music releases on-site, immersing fans and art lovers in a全方位 (all-around) visual, auditory, and gustatory experience for an unprecedentedly special and nuanced encounter.
